Compared to less than expected results posted by most of the hotels so far, #NEH has done really well. This should start moving on monday.
Also keep an eye on #LCEY, #EBCR, #SPEN and #KOTA
SPEN - NAVPS = 705 / EPS = 16.24 good buy around (1750 - 1900)
LCEY - NAVPS = 89 / EPS = 3.30 - very good buy around (120~130)
KOTA - NAVPS = 57 / EPS = 1.74 - good buy around (70 ~ 75)
EBCR - NAVPS = 544 / EPS = 6.4 -good buy around (675 ~ 725)
Now it's the time to analyze before investing. Speculators might need to change there stratergy or move away from CSE.
Happy trading

#KGAL - I expect more than 190 Mn profit for the quarter. But it drop to 130 Mn. This is below of my expectation.
I think, #KOTA also will announce below expected results. I assume it's about between 50-90 Mn. (I know, I may be wrong). I think this quarter may be less expectation. (This is my view). My advice to short term investors sell #KOTA & take profits.
Definetly, next quarter be very very good for #KGAL & #KOTA.
Tea Plantation companies announced more than expected results for this quarter. Specially #MAL, #NAMU, #KAHA. #BALA results to be released.
I think #MAL will break Rs.100/- barrier comming weeks. Now #MAL is worth more than #NAMU. #BALA results may be very very good.

glas plan to sell Rathmalana land for 600-800 million and use money for expansion and to settle long-term loans. Hopefully glas will able to give higher dividends in future. Some broker firms are recommending glas. But perhaps investors have to wait at least 1 month for a rally.

Majority of crowd prefers stocks such as #KOTA, #MAL now.
Then there is another crowd thinks they will have opportunity in #MASK. Their argument is we should go against the crowds.
Do you think there will be opportunity in #mask?
Nothing will happen to #CTBL.
There will be some volatility. Can you name single stock without volatility?
As I said, some will have less volatility. Some will have more volatility. Remember volatility is an opportunity for some traders. In addition, these analysts and advisors always will remind you about stop loss. So naturally, there will be volatility
Some investors do not care about volatility. Because they know, their stocks are winning stocks.
If we can follow carefully for a considerable period, we can make capital gain by investing in #CTBL. Year of 2011 could be one of them most profitable period for the tea sector.
Still trading above the issue price. Now onwards we should analyse their future earnings and growth. We must monitor their future business now.
Another example of volatility: #MASK. Some traders know how to trade this stock better than others do.

In addition, some new members are posting some good quality stocks time to time.
Definitely, I can see rally in some of the above companies in the coming months. Even now, we can see some rally.
Remember we had around 10% correction for plantations stocks.
We should try to find stocks according to our liking, time horizon, experience, skills and knowledge in the industry. There are undervalued stocks in some other groups as well.
Good luck!

I think #KGAL, #BFL, #KOTA, #HAYC, #BALA, #CLND, #SEYB, #RICH may be bullish stocks in coming weeks. Investors are expecting higher results from above companies.
But, I have little bit doubt with #BFL & #KGAL coming results. Last 04 / 05 quarters both performed very very well. In a raw, we saw a clear quarter on quarter growth.
#BFL - 31.03.2010 quarter profits – 71 Mn
#KGAL - 31.03.2010 quarter profits - 237 Mn
But, if #BFL announced below 70 Mn & #KGAL announced below 235 Mn Profits for 30.06.2010 quarter, then both share prices will little bit come down during July’2010. (At the year end 2010/11, it may be more than 2009/10).

Hi, Seems like rubber crops in other Asian countries are recovering. But rubber prices has not gone down. But if you are investing on plantations, you should be expecting these kind of pull backs. Anyway this is not a good time to sell #KOTA, if u have it. Wait for the next rally. I'm not sure about #BALA(since i was not following this) but #KOTA has a potential to move up and get closer to the level of #KGAL soon.

Thanks for your reply Rehan...
I agree with you in a way that the smart money has moved out of the market over the last few months with the outflow of foreign funds, but hasn’t this been off set to a certain extent by the increase in local institutional investors and high net worth individuals. If you look at the daily turnover over the last few weeks isn’t it above the levels we saw earlier?
I feel that local institutional funds, High net worth individuals and retail investors are the main participants in the plantation sector thus making it more resilient even if the market takes a hit due to the reasons you stated... Just before the commodity bubble burst in 2008 we saw #bala and other plantations trading at higher prices than what it is at the moment, therefore if results are as expected don’t you think the prices will exceed the current level?
At the moment I'm overly exposed to #lcey having entered at 65 not too long ago, since #lcey results are dependent on #kota I wish to diversify to a certain extent and look in to other plantation stocks... if my understanding is correct your advice is to pull the money out and sit on it for the moment? That isn’t something I’ve considered but one I should give some thought to.
On a separate topic all together any idea what caused the #lcey company EPS (not the group EPS) to decrease almost to 0 in the last quarter compared to almost 10 the quarter before?
Appreciate your comment.

Dear Rizan , Samaldeniya,
Above as a eg. I got #BFL.
Please do not directly buy #BFL.
Invest your money in fundamentaly strong stocks.
#BFL, #KGAL, #KOTA, #BALA, #LFIN, #HAYC, #DIPD, #COMB, #RCL are potential to go up comming months.
Either, you can spred your investment with buying different type of shares. Then your Risk be minimize.

Dear Rizan,
I can't predict about #CLPL. Some times it will go up. Some times it will come down. To me still #CLPL is not a strong stock. Future will see....
But short answer to you, if I faced like this situation.....selling #CLPL @ a loss and then re-investing in another fundamentally strong stock.
#KOTA, #KGAL will upside. But, moved lot.
Better to invest in #BFL. Possibal to break Rs.90/- with in July'10.
Others - #LFIN, #HAYC, #RCL will go up comming months.
BETTER, YOU HAVE TO CALCULATE WITH YOUR FIGURES (QTY & CURRENT VALUE OF SHARE) & TAKE MINIMUM LOSS DECISSION. OR EITHER YOU CAN BREAK-EVEN IT.

#KGAL
Current Price = Rs.88/-
Last F/Y Profit = Rs.365.6 Mn
Last F/Y EPS = 15
Quarter on quarter growth as follows,
31.03.2010 - 237.1 Mn
31.12.2009 - 128.4 Mn
30.09.2009 - (48.6) Mn
30.06.2009 - 48.8 Mn
ROE% = 21.4 (more than 20 mean High level)
** Current Market Plantation Sector P/E ratio is now = 11.2 **
Share Price can fairly value at = EPS 15 x PE 11 = Rs.165/-
#KGAL is mostly undervaluing rubber plantation gem in the market.
To me, this is the real gem. (after Watawala).
Watawala is trading Rs.230/- with strong last 04 quarter results of 130 Mn.
Think little bit, if watwala trading more than Rs.200/-, possibal #KGAL to trade more than Rs.150/-
At least in this rally it has to touch Rs.120/- level minimum.
#KOTA
Current Price = Rs.72/-
Last F/Y Profit = Rs.377.0 Mn
Last F/Y EPS = 12
ROE% = 20.5
Quarter on quarter performance as follows,
31.03.2010 - 126.5 Mn
31.12.2009 - 245.6 Mn
30.09.2009 - (55.3) Mn
30.06.2009 - 60.2 Mn
Share Price can fairly value at = EPS 12 x PE 11 = Rs.132/-
#KOTA is another mostly undervaluing rubber plantation gem in this market.
My next barrier for #KOTA is Rs.80/- or in this rally it will touch Rs.90/- level.

Keep your eye on with #KGAL & #KOTA.
Both stocks will go up.
Both having more than 20 ROE%.
Both company having strong results. Fundamentals very good.
Both companies annouced Rs.3/- per share dividend last weeks. Due to this XD both shares mostly not moved from 01st to 05th July'2010. Now, This is the time for going up.Therefore, keep your eye on with.
#KGAL will break rs.100/- very very soon. It has to go to Rs.120/- by mid of July'2010.
#KOTA will reach rs.80/- today or very soon. Possibal rs.90/- plus by this week.

Yes MW, Different groups have different opinion.
But my way is going with strong companies, strong fundamentals, strong company results (profits).
Accordingly (current Plantation rally),
TO ME : Strong Plantaions are #KVAL, #KGAL, #KOTA.
#KVAL now 105/- touched.
#KGAL to follow on #KVAL & then to reach Rs.100/-.
Then #KOTA follow on #KVAL & #KGAL & then to reach Rs.90/-.
I Know #NAMU, #ELPL, #MADU also having strong results. all will up side.
#BALA pattern always up & down side. It will reach Rs.50/- soon.
But, I am going with strong companies.
Discloser - little egsamples :
* I bought Hayleys @ 185/- , Rs.217.50 & 235/-, Then sold @ 315/-, 310/- & 308/-.
* Haycarb Bought 90/- sold 105/-, Then Bought 117/- sold 197/-.
* Lankem bought 65/- & sold 117.25.
* Kotagala bought 44/- & sold 66/-.
* LB Finance bought 115.25 & sold last week 145/-
see, above all strong companies.
* In my portfolio currently having more than 10,000 shares of #BFL @ av.62/- & still holding this due to #BFL strongbility.
* in addition to Holding #KGAL, #KOTA, #BALA, #CLND, #TESS, #CIC, #LION, #RICH, #STAF.

Thanks MW for your comments. Actually I know you are the No.1 best advisor/analyzer/guider in this forum. I think all will agree with me. You be a real FIXED ASSET to our users. Great job.
I will tell little bit about me. I am working as a one of Assistant Accountant in leading Blue Chip Company (PLC) in Colombo.
My Stock recommendation strategy as follows,
01. Information flow (News) – have to be powerfully business information flow. (Business Newspapers, Business WEB sites, Discussion with Finance knowledgably peoples, E.mails)

Coming soon……Plantation rally......
(posted by me 05 days ago)
* Day by day plantations are moving upside.
* Plantation rally will be start soon.
* This is mostly undervaluing sector in this market. Recently sector has not improved much. (as MW said 10% correction).
* Few plantation companies are performing very well. Look performance of #KGAL, #KOTA, #KVAL, #BALA, #WATA, #NAMU, #TPL, #MAL, #UDPL.
* There were some positive movements in the shares of Rubber Plantation companies today. Rubber Plantation Companies are expected to perform well in the medium to long run due to the ever increasing world oil prices.
* World market Tea & Rubber prices increased during last 04 months.
* Better to keep your eye on with following Plantation stocks. Below all stocks, you will have a very clear high % return.
#KGAL
Current Price = Rs.80/-
Last F/Y Profit = Rs.366 Mn
Last F/Y EPS = 15
ROE = more than 20%
Share Price can fairly value at = EPS 15 x PE 10 = Rs.150/-
#KGAL is mostly undervaluing rubber plantation gem in the market.
At least in next rally it has to touch Rs.120/- level minimum.
With in next 02 or 03 weeks #KGAL will quickly break Rs.100/-
My analysis shows clear 50% return.
#KOTA
Current Price = Rs.67/-
Last F/Y Profit = Rs.377 Mn
Last F/Y EPS = 12
ROE = more than 20%
Share Price can fairly value at = EPS 12 x PE 10 = Rs.120/-
#KOTA is another mostly undervaluing rubber plantation gem in this market.
My next barrier for #KOTA is Rs.80/-
At least in next rally it has to touch Rs.90/- level.
#BALA
Current Price = Rs.38/-
Last 04 QUARTERS TOTAL Profit = Rs.204 Mn
Last F/Y EPS = 9
ROE = more than 16%
Share Price can fairly value at = EPS 9 x PE 8 = Rs.72/-
#BALA is mostly undervaluing tea plantation gem in this market.
At least in next rally it has to touch Rs.55/- level.
Keep your eye on with #KGAL, #KOTA & #BALA. You have a clear return.

HI Chamila,
I already said there would be volatility in all types of markets during next 10 years due to some reasons. I also said oil would trade in a range bound of $65 to $85. It happened so many times during last 10 months. However, this time it went up to $87 before it came back to around $67. Now it is trading around $75.
Some top analysts expect oil to go above $90 by the end of this year. I think oil should not go above $90. Oil around $80 is good for all types of industries. Otherwise, world economy will slow down in 2011 if oil goes above $100 per barrel. Inflation will go up.
Rohit and I saw weakness in #HAYC around Rs.200 and in #DOCK around #Rs.300. I was strong supporter when dock was trading around # Rs.120/-. Around $100, Hayc was good buy. However now we have to study their long term potential and then we should take our positions accordingly.
We will have to become bullish on some stocks time to time. We should be bullish on some special stocks now. Once we find attractive stock with great potential, we have to fall in love with it. Some companies will have demand for their products in any situation.
I partly agree with your following statement
Beware of Lankem Ceylon & EB Cresy. Yes its true results are good. But mind you friends share prices may have increased in the recent past in those companies may be because of this. Look what has happened to Haycarb.
It depends on what type of players play LCEM now. If smart players dump this stock, they will come down. I saw smart money is leaving in #hayc around Rs.200/-
Some say commodity stocks are risky. Generally, all types of assets including shares are risky. After collapse of financial system in Iceland, their tourism, restaurants and fish sector is still doing well. Financial sector and property sector is more risky than other sectors now. Remember people will always eat.
Their food related sector is doing well in good and bad times.
I think there will be great opportunities in food and hot beverages commodities and in some raw materials during next two decades.
We should have strategy to time the commodity market.
Those who new to the market should not buy any commodity stock at higher prices without understanding of commodity market. Experienced commodity traders know how to play the commodity market and how to beat others
Just like stock market, there are opportunities in commodity market as well.
Pl see following link: Just like stock market direction of commodity market can change at any time. If rubber climb again plantains stocks such as #agal, #bala, #kota, #hopl, #wata, #namu and other plantatioisn companies with rubber plantations will benefit.
New players do not buy commodity stocks without any knowledge about commodity market. Rather it is better to stay with companies that you know very well. Always trade and invest in stock, commodity that you know very well.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-05-28/rubber-may-jump-25-to-30-year-high-on-china-japan-broker-says.html
Rubber May Jump 25% to 30-Year High on China, Japan Broker Says
May 28 (Bloomberg) -- Rubber may climb at least 25 percent to the highest level in three decades as demand increases in China, the largest consumer, outweighing concern European use will slow, said an executive manager at broker Yutaka Shoji Co.
Futures may surpass the 2008 peak of 356.9 yen per kilogram ($3,922 a metric ton) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange this year to reach the highest level since March 1980, said Kazuya Tetsu, who traded the commodity for more than 30 years at Marubeni Corp. before joining Yutaka Shoji last month.
Prices gained 3.6 percent this year after doubling in 2009 as the rally slowed on concern the sovereign debt crisis in Europe will stall the economic recovery, hurting demand for commodities. Car ownership in China, the world’s largest auto market, will expand, boosting consumption of the raw material used in tires, Tetsu said in an interview in Tokyo.
“China’s influence on the market and global economies is getting stronger,” Tetsu said yesterday. Demand from the country “is setting the market’s direction,” he said.
Rubber for November-delivery, the most-active contract in Tokyo, gained 1.8 percent to 286.20 yen at 2:17 p.m. local time today. The price reached a five-month low of 250.9 yen on May 17, down from a peak of 338.5 yen about a month earlier.
A price jump will benefit producers in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, the biggest suppliers, and potentially boost costs for tire makers such as Bridgestone Corp. Marubeni is the country’s biggest trader of the commodity and Yutaka is one of the top five raw-materials brokerages.
Inflation Hedge
The European debt turmoil may force governments to keep interest rates low and delay implementation of their “exit policy”, leading to renewed investor interest in commodities as an inflation hedge, Tetsu said. Europe represented 15 percent of global consumption estimated at 10.2 million tons in 2008, according to International Rubber Study Group.
Sales of cars, sport-utility vehicles and multipurpose vehicles in China jumped 33 percent from a year earlier to 1.11 million units in April, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. In the first quarter sales jumped 76 percent to 3.52 million units.
Consumption of natural rubber in China may grow 10 percent this year to 3.35 million tons from 2009, the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries said in its May report.
Supplies of natural rubber may increase seasonally, helping curb prices on the cash market, Kazunori Kokubo, general manager at the international business section of Yutaka Shoji, said in the same interview.
Narrow Gap
“Tightness in supply will probably be alleviated in July as the influence from wintering will diminish,” he said. Trees shed their leaves during wintering, or the low-production period that runs from February to April, leading to lower latex output.
The increase in production may narrow the price gap between the nearby month on the Tokyo exchange and the most active contract, Kokubo said. June-delivery rubber added 1 percent to 373 yen at 2:06 p.m. local time.
Total production of natural rubber will grow 6.2 percent to 9.37 million tons this year, according to the ANRPC report. The association represents Cambodia, China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
Cash prices in Thailand, the largest producer and exporter, increased as rains in southern provinces disrupted tapping, according to the Rubber Research Institute of Thailand. Thai RSS-3 grade rubber for June delivery rose 1.6 percent to 125.40 baht ($3.85) a kilogram, the institute said on its website yesterday. The price climbed to a record 130.55 baht April 27.

Rubber prices will come down a little bit but it will remain in a high level for next few years.
There are lot of good news floating arround related to plantations. #BALA, #KOTA, #KGAL and other plantation stocks will start moving up once they published their interim financial statements.
So no need to panic :)

Below, I have published on 16th Mar'2009..
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
#KOTA – 2nd Best Plantation Company
I think #KOTA (Kotagala Plantation PLC) is 2nd Best performing Plantation Company in sri lanka. This share is mostly undervaluing in current market.
If you compaire results in last 09 months results,
Issued share Capital = 32 Mn
Revenue = Rs.2.4 Bn
Profit before Tax = 240 Mn
EPS = 240 / 32 = 7.83
Annualize EPS = 10.44
PER for last 04 quarters = 8.1
Share price can go up = 10.44 x 8.1 = Rs.84.50 (at the year end)
Important :
Current Share Price = Rs.46/-
But, as at 31.12.2009 Net Asset Value per Share = Rs.53.38
Current market Kotagala is trading below of their NAV.
Kotagala has purchased 7,142,857 Shares (19.84%) of C.W.Mackie in January & they have invested on other listed companies also. (eg.Sigiriya Village….).
Current days, we can see highest Tea / Rubber prices in world market. Therefore, they will announce very good results in the coming quarters. Then price will went up rapidly.
Why is the 2nd Best performing company……?
My valuation Watawala Plantation is the best & Kotagala may be the 2nd.
Lats 04 quarter Total Profits :
Watawala = 239 Mn
Kotagala = 191.4 Mn
End of Dec’09 quarter Profit :
Watawala = 182.5 Mn
Kotagala = 245.6 Mn
ROE% :
Watawala = 13
Kotagala = 11.2
Last 04 quarter PER :
Watawala = 18.8
Kotagala = 8.1
09 months ended EPS :
Watawala = 9.69
Kotagala = 7.83
Current Market Price comparison :
We can see Watawala already adjusted the price to = EPS 9.69 x PER 18.8 = Rs.182 /-.
But, #KOTA is mostly undervalued. It has to adjust with = EPS 7.83 x PER 8.1 = Rs. 63/-.

No. Not. Sri Lankan Market is not overvalued.
Yes. Some of Sectors (like Hotels) overvalued. (But with predictabale earnings in comming year).
Market will reach 4400 - 4500 level by end June'2010.
Possitive factors to Sri Lankan Market :
1. Central Bank of Sri Lanka has forecast a 6.5 % economic growth for the country in year 2010.
2. Stable government to adopt consistent economic policies in the country.
3. Expected boom in the Tourism sector in future. Tourist arrivals to the country has increased after the end of 30 year old civil war & already recorded a 50.3% growth so far for the year 2010. ( JAN - MARCH).
4. The Economic growth in future is expected to be well supported by the development activities in the Construction & the Agricultural sectors as well.
5. Sri Lanka Share Market (Colombo Stock Exchange) ranked No 01 in Asia & second best in the world in 2009. We are the best performing stock exchange in Asia so far for year 2010.
6. Announcement of the holding an Indian film festival in Sri Lanka will boost the hotels sector.
7. Expected positive earnings by the listed companies in future.
8. Can expect more foreign investment confidency about Sri Lanka.
This is time for Market correction. Fundamentally strong stocks moving day by day. Look Blue chip companies & Banks. #CTC, #HAYL, #COMB, #SAMP.
I personaly thinking all attractive shares, quickly will adjust with Current Market P/E. Market P/E is about 16 - 18 times. (With ASI 4000 level).
My prediction (next 06 months) Market will run as follows (few eg) :
By Apr'10 to Jun'10 Quarter
#SAMP to reach Rs.350/-
#HAYL to reach Rs.375/-
#COMB to reach Rs.320/-
#CTC to reach Rs.400/-
#HAYC to reach Rs.250/-
#LCEY to reach Rs.130/-
#KOTA to reach Rs.85/-
#DOCK to reach Rs.325/-
#RCL to reach Rs.160/-
By Jul'10 to Sep'10 Quarter
#JKH to reach Rs.250/-
#NDB to reach Rs.290/-
#DFCC to reach Rs.300/-
#KVAL to reach Rs.100/-
#DIPD to reach Rs.175/-
#HAYC to reach Rs.275/-
06 months earlier if you invest some money, now you hav a 100% return. most of stocks more than double now. Still, you all not late. As a short term investor (03 months) clearly you have a more than 30% return in CSE. (If you deposit your money in Bank (FD), after 01 year period you can earn only less than 8%).

I think #BALA is largely undervalued now comparing to other plantation companies
NAV is around 52 but trading around 38. Many plantation companies trading above NAV now. Hopefully BALA will pass 40 level very easily.
Also KOTA,KGAL,KVAL will be very good buying at current level.
BALA : 52
KOTA : 53
KGAL : 54
KVAL : 45
Rubber price will remaining high for next 2,3 quarters and hopefully #KOTA can clean most of the debts using higher earnings

One & half month earlier, I have several times mentioned that #LCEY to reach Rs.90/- level, #KOTA to reach Rs.65/- level and #HAYL to reach Rs.260/- level by end Apr'10.
Today all companies reach to this level. Hayleys has marked Rs.260/-. Lankem marked 89.75 last week. Kotagala pass 62/-.
Who followed my comments, now they have more than 20% return.
Still these shares undervalue in the market.
#LCEY will break Rs.120/- with in next 05 weeks.
#KOTA will reach Rs.80/- by mid May'10.
#HAYL will break Rs.320/- by mid of May'10.
We have to closly monitor #HAYC share. I think this will quickly start their next rally. It may be Clombo Dockyard . Possibilty to break Rs.220/- level again & pass to 260/- or more.

Hi Rehan
I think in the morning sellers withdrew their selling for #BFL below Rs.50/- and some did panic buying at Rs.50/-
Genuine buyers were around Rs.45/-. Now #BFL have broken two important barriers.
Then yesterday we also saw some spike in stocks such as #KOTA, #TWOD etc.
I think we should follow tortoise strategy for stocks now. We should avoid overvalued counters.
Next eight-week s very crucial for plantations companies. It will either make or break. .
Thanks.

Today Just I had a glance on quarterly results of some plantation companies.
Following companies have more current assets including short-term investments than current liabilities.
They have lower debt than other plantations companies do.
#BALA, #KGAL and #KVAL
All of the companies have tea and rubber.
During higher interest rate period and during period of lower prices for commodity sometimes next year #BALA will do better than other plantations due to their lower debt among plantations companies. They have more current asset than current liabilities.
Both #AGAL and #KOTA have higher debt in their book. Their current ratio also not that attractive. .Agal has more current liabilities.

Those new to the markets:
I said in the current market those who have experience and knowledge will have edge over others.
Some stocks will have aggressive buying and selling time to time
We can not win all the times
Markets will not go up down continuously
There are different players in the market
Market is 100% not efficient.
Stock and commodity will not go to the zero except bankrupts one.
Some companies will disappear from the markets time to come.
Sometimes market will not listen to fundamentals and technicals
Technical analysts will tell you support levels. Once they break they are telling now we should take them as resistance levels. They are not also sure about the market trend. So they have introduced stop losses.
In the short term market is like weighing machine
Identifying General market conditions are better than other indicators
In panic situations players will sell some attractive value stocks as well.
Best investment strategy:
Always buy (invest) in undervalued stocks with great potential
Have a time horizon.
Try to identify some extremely bullish stocks with more than 10 baggers characteristics
We can not select all wining stocks. Once we find one attractive stock even we can cover losses of other stocks. We get these types of stocks once in life time.
Learn to identify stocks similar to #Wata, #Soy, #KVAL and #Nest in advance. Those types of stocks are good for any type of market situation.
We must be prepared to buy following stocks aggressively if prices come down during next 11 months? I don’t think it will come down to those levels.
#JKH below Rs.100/
#SPEN below Rs.300/
#SAMP below Rs.150
#HNB below Rs.100
#COMB below Rs.100
#coco below Rs.20
#HASU below Rs.30/-
#haly below Rs.125/-
#RICH below Rs.40/-
#Dfcc below Rs.80/-
#NDB below Rs.80/-
#HHL BELOW Rs 80-
#LCEY below Rs.35/-
#KOTA below Rs.30/-
Remember even if market come down it will create some attractive opportunities for new players and those who missed some attractive stocks.

My recomendation is #HAYL , #LCEY , #KOTA . These you will have 25% to 40% return with in next 03 months.
Other stocks DFCC, JKH, Royal Ceramics & Haycarb. But, return will less with compair to Hayleys, Lankem, Kotagala.

Hi Mission
Now Both #KOTA and # CERA are doing well. Both are not overvalued Isn’t it? Kota will announce good results in the next quarter.
So do not worry much. You must worry when they have extended P/E ratios and if they are overvalued.
It will take sometimes to see infrastructure developments, construction and road developments in the north and east.
Therefore we have to wait at least two years to see strong balance sheets is some subgroups such as cement etc. Some hotels will take time to repair their balance sheets. We have to be selective in hotels sector.
We can see gradual growth in following areas first.
Agri-Food sector
Transportation
Hotel and travel sector
I forgot to mention Plantation sector. They also will announce good results.
Then banking sector also will benefit.
In the long run, many sectors will benefit such as cement, ceramic, cable, production etc.
We can see next direction of the market at the end of this year

thanks rohit... but does #KOTA have the potential to rise again. i thought it wil hit the all time high of 73 since rubber and tea prices are on the rise.
Also Rohit i bought #CERA (Lanka Ceramics) at an average cost of 77.. but im concerned whether i bought expensive and also the price now is 70.25.(giving me heart attacks.... lol)
and also i have concerns that investors are leaving cse in the back of high intrest rates.
thanks....

Hi,
#KHL as support around 19 should be a good buying opportunity around those levels looks like it is in corrective wave 4 once that ends then wave 5 would start to take it to newer highs, right now it is not a buy at present price.
#KOTA I saw the 1st tick of red on smart money getting out however its long term charts are trying to become positive 33-40 is nice accumlation opportunity.
#MASK is the similar case like Kota this seems to be good buying between 21-26 for newer highs.
Please note this is purely based on the technical analysis charts, I know nothing about the business of the companies mentioned.
Thanks
Rohit

Hi Rohit:
Thanks. I think ATL will trade in a bound range between Rs.12 to Rs.20 during next nine months. However, it can break even Rs.20 depend on the players.
Next year we can get clear some idea about this company including some fundamentals.
I noticed and identified similar trend in some stocks such as #DIAL, #SEMB etc.
Recently when #ACAP was trading below Rs.10, I found some trend.
Then I noticed no stocks would straight go up and straight go down. There are support level for some strong stocks even in down markets.
In the past KOTA in the first rally it went up by more than Rs.10/- Then it came down by more than Rs.10/- Finally it went up to Rs.73/-. BALA went up to Rs.71/-. In plantations #KOTA had more volatility but it went up again rapidly.
Always volatility will be there in the market

I think Dr. Senthiverl doing both investment and trading .It is a good investment strategy for CSE.
I don’ think we can read other peoples’ mind. It depends on the individual himself. Sometimes he will trade. Some times, he will keep as investment.
He had some investment in #BALA as well. I think he has bought few shares in #Kota as well in this quarter.
However, If Raj R returns or some other funds come to CSE definitely they will buy stocks such as #BALA and #BFL aggressively now.

Update in the plantation sector:
Maskeliya made losses in the quarter ending 31/12/2008. But in the current quarter they have increased net profit by more than 242%
Their earning per share has increased to 5.10 from (3.58) in the current quarter.
Maskeliya hit on their quarterly accounts due to Wage and gratuity and wage impact of Rs. 274 million and
Their nine months management fee is around Rs.107, 478,000
It seems some investors and traders have faith in this stock due to future earnings. That may be reason in addition to strong quarterly results to go up their stock price last Friday.
Especially tea plantations companies such as such as #BALA, #KOTA #TPL and #MASK will produce some of the best quarterly results in the next quarter.
Beauty of #BALA is they have lowest debt and the best current ratio in their books among plantations stocks. They have net asset per share of more than 50. Even Mask net asset per share is: around 33.28 now

Yes. I also agree with this. All the plantations have different but strong reasons to buy.
#BALA - Have good earning on this year
#Kota , #KGAL , #KVAL - Linked to a powerful mother company which are using the crop from these plantations.
#HAPU , #UPDL - Owns to one of the most powerful plantation company in the whole world which owns big portion of world tea market and owns good crop distribution channels
#MAL - Small plantation company which is getting better and better each year.
#AGAL, #WATA - getting diversifying

Yes, you are right. I did not expect earring surprise form #TPL. We can expect good earnings from plantations companies during next quarter as well. Plantations sector is undervalued
Kota is one of the best trading stocks for some traders and investors.
Tea plantations companies have done really well.
Kotagala Quarter ending 31/12/22009
Gross profit
Tea: 145,326,000
Rubber: 153,170,000
Quarter ending 31/12/2008
Gross Profit
Tea (15290,000)
Rubber 25429,000
Current ratio has improved when compare with last year. However, long-term borrowing has increased.
We must remember #BALA has lowers long term and short-term debt among plantations companies in Sri-Lanka.
Therefore, #BALA is most attractive plantation company in Sri-Lanka.
I think #Kota, #BALA, #KVAL, #KGAL and #MAL will break Rs.100/- this time. However, it all depends on the market players.
All time high for #BALA is Rs.71/- KOTA Rs.73/-
New investors, small investors should be careful. Experienced investors and traders have edge in the current market. Do not over pay any stocks. There are plenty of undervalued stocks with great potential in the market. Next five years some stocks will become ten baggars.
