I think #UML is OVER but hope to minimize the looses on Monday :)
i agree as a newcomer going behind the crowd has taught me a valuable lesson. i have the following shares which were mentioned as undervalued and really had gains through. i have #BFL #LCEY .....
as a matter of fact i have been very confused the market behaves bec last week of august when all stocks were down hotel and motor were on the up.when comparing it with this week i see plantations rally... funniest part is i had good amount of plantation stocks last month and sold it bec it doesn't increase and bought all other shares and then the opposite happens..
i have now understood that plantations go up with tea prices going up or bec of good harvest
it would be much appreciable if we as newcomers could get the more information on different sectors and what are seasons for it when to buy it and when to sell it not as a set rule but as a more sensible approach buying shares than just buying it .. eg like tea harvesting now what are the other seasonal influences plantations have.one thing i know is hotel having its peak season next few months. etc
i also greatly appreciate this forum for what it has and is being doing.

I am also thinking to re-enter to #RICH.
(Actually I left #RICH because of #LCEY @125/- )
But held on #KGAL , just because we saw rainy August this time.
(Rainy August was a big signal for me to hold my plantations. )
In short, #RICH will be more Rich with its profit making subsidiaries.
Then, using the cash generated in this year #RICH may step into another plain next year.

I do not think any real broker who qualified in at -least CIA-CSE exam would recommend PCH .
It may come back after some time but you might miss good chances with some other stock during that time.
Sometimes it may be wiser to sell at any level and buy a good share(s) prevailing at the moment.
Two weeks ago I sold big qty of #NHL at loss and bought #LCEY, #TAFL, #BALA, #CFLB ... etc . Now I can buy #NHL back from the profit if I want.

@smalik
Sorry for being late for the same reason as chinwi.
Some fundamentally sound shares identified early with clear analysis in this forum in the past are doing extremely well. Eg. #BFL, #LFIN, #LCEY, #RICH, #GRAN, #TAFL, #MAL, #PABC, #NTB, #JKH, #DFCC(there are many. These are only few which came to my mind.)
I find great growth potential in the following stocks. Movement in prices may be triggered with the financials for QE30 Sept. 10. I have individually commented on them in the past too:
#ACL, #MAL, #CERA, #LWL, #TILE, #NTB, #PABC, #BALA, #ACME, #LHL
Do your own reasearch before decision. By fundamentals and future potential, I think these stocks are attractive at current prices.

[Updated] Stocks to watch now:...
reply from chinwi, 7 days ago
-
Most of these stocks are becoming illiquid due to higher values. There will be measures to make them liquid and in addition to the potential for the growth in next few months share splits will also give holders big chances to increase wealth.
Some stocks become overvalued time to time and we tend to sell. Again they become undervalued faster than we expect and this should continue with the upward movement of our economy at this new era.
If we can select such shares we can trade wisely in the future. I think #AHUN , #SPEN, #NTB , #LCEY, #BFL etc fall into that category.
Plantations : Today 31 August, the Sun positioned directly over Sri Lanka and normally this becomes a very hot and dry period. But this year, we have cool and rainy climate even in August. ( Max Temp 28 C in CMB ) This means the favourable weather is continuing for our plantations.

Why so hurry to sell it.
It was at 8.00 last year and still not appreciated compare to other hotels. It has possibility to have better EPS growth than many other hotels, when occupancy rate is considered.
Next boom in hotels may activated when they revalue the assets.
When I see #TAJ and #GHLL at present levels , #MARA backed by #LCEY group is Green to me.
It is also positioned at more safer location to tsunami threats from Sumatran dislocations.

@vicknesh
Right issue should have a positive effect on #LCEY future earnings. If you check the quarterly reports the financial cost has increased to 120,670 000 from 88,343 000 a quarter ago (most of the fund I think they have burrowed for long term investments). But after paying all these cost #LCEY has earned an EPS of 6.24 for the quarter. But after the right issue lcey can settle most of long term and short term burrowing with zero cost funding from the right. So #LCEY EPS will definitely improve with this. In addition to that these funds will have a positive effect for its future acquisitions and new projects. And #LCEY is a very low risk high potential share because of its very well diversified portfolio. It could be a future JKH.

#AHUN was collected without much talk and rush, many sold it not realizing its value as many of our people trade by ear.

Hi Roshara,
Due to my tortoise plus approach to the market, I will not target short-term gain and non tortoise stocks .
In addition, markets are unpredictable in the short run. We should follow considerable period to identify bullish stocks.
Remember 21 days ago, when I saw some indicators I mentioned three stocks to watch: BFL, GRAN and TAFL
Some momentum stocks such as ACAP, RHTL and CHOT can go up little bit more. However, I do not know their true value and I have not followed them much.
Finally, I have limited my operation to few extremely bullish massively undervalued stocks.
Following is the list mentioned buy CSE.SEE
reply from cse.see, 2 days ago
If you predict short term, 03 months (by 15th November’2010) following shares will give you a clear return.
#BFL possible to break Rs.140/- (minimum Rs.142/-) may be Rs.168/-
#GRAN possible to break Rs.50/-
#TAFL possible to break Rs.27/-
#HAYC possible to break Rs.194/-
#CIC.N possible to break Rs.108/-
#DIST possible to break Rs.168/-
#DIAL possible to break Rs.12.75/-
#SEYB possible to break Rs.92/-
#MBSL possible to break Rs.38.25/-
#BREW possible to break Rs.304/-
#LION possible to break Rs.174/-
#LCEY possible to break Rs.154/-
#HAYL possible to break Rs.342/-
#HHL possible to break Rs.44/-
#RICH possible to break Rs.140/-
#TKYO possible to break Rs.46/-
#BALA possible to break Rs.52/-
#MAL possible to break Rs.84/-
#LFIN possible to break Rs.169
One or two stocks in the above list can go up gradually and systematically in the coming weeks braking their psychological barriers and new barriers.
Good luck!

After #MARA comming under #LCEY, it started picking up in the Hotel Sector as it was thought undervalued and had the potential to perform well. It started picking up from the level Rs.9-10. all depends on the June quarter performance and the growth in EPS

#LCEY is undervalue share.
But, their Cash position is now totally out, when compair to last year.
(See Cash flow + Balance Sheet).
Bank borrowings day by day goes up. They are paying huge Short Term + Long Term interest.
That's why, they issued a 3,000,000 shares (Right issue 1:7) @ Rs.85/- per share.
The purpose of the issue is to meet WORKING CAPITAL REQUIREMENTS.
Rs.85/- x 3 Mn = 255 mn.
They need Rs.255 Million for Working Capital requirements.
* What is Working Capital : This is Cash requirement for day to day financial operations. (Payment of Salaries/Wages/Other business expenses/purchase of inventories....etc)

Compared to less than expected results posted by most of the hotels so far, #NEH has done really well. This should start moving on monday.
Also keep an eye on #LCEY, #EBCR, #SPEN and #KOTA
SPEN - NAVPS = 705 / EPS = 16.24 good buy around (1750 - 1900)
LCEY - NAVPS = 89 / EPS = 3.30 - very good buy around (120~130)
KOTA - NAVPS = 57 / EPS = 1.74 - good buy around (70 ~ 75)
EBCR - NAVPS = 544 / EPS = 6.4 -good buy around (675 ~ 725)
Now it's the time to analyze before investing. Speculators might need to change there stratergy or move away from CSE.
Happy trading

Hi All,
what about #LCEY ?
1.Agarapatana & Kotagala Plantations expected to do well with the boom in tea and rubber prices. Lokking at last quarters financials this should add around an eps of Rs.7 (but not too sure how the bottom line/tapping of rubber was affected by the heavy rains experienced during April and May)
2. lankem chemicals should do well during the Yala and Maha agricultural seasons, last quarter Lcey group had an eps of 6.72, though the company it self had an eps of only 0.11, this was because last quarter wasn't the agricultural season. Previous quarter the company EPS was 8.83 while the group eps was 12.99. This coming quarter we should see the company it self performing well.
3. With the acquisition of CWM, Lankem have achieved forward integration. CWM is one of the largest exporters of natural rubber in the country and will benefit with uninterrupted supply of rubber from Kotagala and agrapathana plantations.
4. Sigiriya hotels losses have been declining over the last few quarters and should be profit making in the near future with the current boom in tourism.
I have a significant amount of Lcey i my portfolio and hope to hold it for the next 6-9 months. I expect the share to have an annualized eps of around 30-35, that is if the commodity prices do not crash. I dont think an estimate of an eps of 30-35 is unreasonable looking at last quarter results together with expected earnings Lankem chemicals.
would like to know what the experts have to say about this share, since its currently extremely under valued.
Please comment!

Very true, LCEY trading below its real value. Also if you analyse the holding structure of LCEY you will realize that the ultimate ownerof LCEY is CFLB. #CFLB is currently trading around at Rs 108/= below LCEY price. Both #CFLB and #LCEY should be worth well over Rs 200/= . My choice would be to go for CFLB because it owns the entire group.

Thanks for your reply Rehan...
I agree with you in a way that the smart money has moved out of the market over the last few months with the outflow of foreign funds, but hasn’t this been off set to a certain extent by the increase in local institutional investors and high net worth individuals. If you look at the daily turnover over the last few weeks isn’t it above the levels we saw earlier?
I feel that local institutional funds, High net worth individuals and retail investors are the main participants in the plantation sector thus making it more resilient even if the market takes a hit due to the reasons you stated... Just before the commodity bubble burst in 2008 we saw #bala and other plantations trading at higher prices than what it is at the moment, therefore if results are as expected don’t you think the prices will exceed the current level?
At the moment I'm overly exposed to #lcey having entered at 65 not too long ago, since #lcey results are dependent on #kota I wish to diversify to a certain extent and look in to other plantation stocks... if my understanding is correct your advice is to pull the money out and sit on it for the moment? That isn’t something I’ve considered but one I should give some thought to.
On a separate topic all together any idea what caused the #lcey company EPS (not the group EPS) to decrease almost to 0 in the last quarter compared to almost 10 the quarter before?
Appreciate your comment.

Thanks MW for your comments. Actually I know you are the No.1 best advisor/analyzer/guider in this forum. I think all will agree with me. You be a real FIXED ASSET to our users. Great job.
I will tell little bit about me. I am working as a one of Assistant Accountant in leading Blue Chip Company (PLC) in Colombo.
My Stock recommendation strategy as follows,
01. Information flow (News) – have to be powerfully business information flow. (Business Newspapers, Business WEB sites, Discussion with Finance knowledgably peoples, E.mails)
(By using Google alerts you can create more Business topics & then you will get more News).
02. Analyze method: have to be at least minimum last 05-10 years accounts in a single excel sheet. (Each company 10 year summary in their annual report).
03. If any News published CSE web site you have to be quickly go through it. Then you have a more return or you can minimize your loss. (You have to be 1st).
04. IMPORTANT: Monitor Quarter by quarter company performance. Then EPS, ROE.....etc.
05. IMPORTANT: Maintain sector wise performance sheet. Then can get idea about PE ratios.
06. IMPORTANT: Maintain each company wise NAV sheet. Before buying shares better to consider this. (Not always).
07. Once you see the published accounts you have to go to Cash Flow statement & Auditors report. Cash flow will tell you more. Debtor level, Borrowings level, how they earned profits, Operational Profit or Investing Profit or financing Profit….etc. You have considered any Auditor comments in their report.
08. Consider No of shares issued. How many lodged in CDS. % having in major share holders. Then you will have a clear idea about trading qty. If high volumes more sellers will come.
09. You have to be Always Study last 04-05 weeks share moving pattern. If you can see changing hands in considerable volumes, probably that stock up side. (Not always).
10. Consider Sector wise Business Trend in Sri Lana & World wide : e.g.: Tea, Rubber Prices, Construction improvements, Oil price movements, Tourist arrivals, daily USD/GBP variations, Inflations, Interest rates, AWPLR variations, etc
11. You have to be referring stock market broker’s research reports/recommendations.
12. IMPORTANT: if you are a short term trader, take quick decisions. (If stock coming down, then sell it & re-invest in profitable stock. Your loss is minimizing).
13. Communications: discussions with friends who dealing with other stock brokers.
14. IMPORTANT: (as you mentioned several times) FUNDAMENTALS, FUTURE BUSINESS GROWTHS, EXPANSIONS, DEBTOR LEVELS, GEARINGS, ……ETC
Considering above all, you can identify stocks with an own strategy & get more returns.
I don’t have a lot more time to write more things to this forum, because of time & my job. That’s why less contribution to this forum. But, if I saw, quickly I will highlight more stocks in future.
By using above stratergy, Several times in this forum I have mentioned (last 05 months) the following shares to be reach the following levels.
#HAYL - Hayleys 185/- level I mentioned to be reach Rs.300/- level.
#HAYC - Haycarb 90/- level I mentioned to be reach Rs.190/- level.

interms of #LCEY the 10.37 figure is for the company ONLY. and the Group EPS is 19.80. (which includes the accumulated profits coming from #EBCR & #CFLB)
Thus when forecasting their future market value we need to consider 19.80

ohh common Rohit how can I buy #LCEY again if only 11600 shares traded even bellow 63 on 24th and 25th of March.
Also over 68000 shares traded between 64-66 from 17th 21th March. It didn't give a green signal on that level. How I get a 100% guarantee whether your system will give me a green a signal when only 3500 shares traded on 62 on 25th of March.
Technical analysis might gives you the right entry and exit points most of the time but might not with enough volume ;-)
Surely all the people will not get the chance since only small volume traded bellow 65. If I went to take small profit I might lost 90% (65 to 115) profit I have gained from LCEY.
There were people collecting LCEY during last quarter (first 20 share holders hold 86.78% which was 86.48% on December). That's why we needs not to be panic when prices going down in small amounts
Who says DOCK is fundamentally strong on that level. What is their PER before the collapse ?

read the full post #LCEY consolidated and even corrected around 5% since March 10 till it got the final breakout of momentum above 68 as it was indicated in that post.
So, if you have sold LCEY on my call then you would have got a better entry opportunity at 62 or after 10 days above 68 when the momentum came back.
Technical analysis gives you the right entry and exit points most of the time - Have you seen that in this entire bull market #DOCK has done nothing though it was claimed to be fundamentally too strong. read my post on http://lankaswingtrading.com - dock in a dock

Hi Rohit,
Nice to see you in the forum after long time.
My personal opinion is some of the over valued company will go down but most of the company will have a up side.
For an example #LCEY still PER is bellow 6. #EBCR bellow 3. How can they rated as over valued while you are getting 6% interest when you save it in the bank. If people take profits on 120 assuming LCEY or share market is over valued where they left to put those money? I think this is the first question come to mind of all the investors. Still no good second choice.

Do not take one-month approach. I think it is better to go for four-month approach. Because some stocks will have good run. There will be some good run including fundamentally weak stocks at the end of this month and in June.
Short term trading in any types of market is very dangerous.
Everybody should have their own successful strategy/
We should not miss some lifetime opportunity by trading within the short period.
I believe long-term approach is the best. We should fall in love with some special stocks.
We should not fall in love with some other stocks.
Globally markets go up and down. However, poultry stocks are outperforming the market. Most of them are going up. Particularly powerful poultry food stocks will go up further.
They will outperform market in 2010 and 2011. They have become favourite picks even among top investment bank and top trend technical analysts now
For me #BFL is more attractive than any other poultry stocks in the world.
Now traders and investors are paying premium for both #LCEY AND #HALY due to their earnings. In the banking sector, #COMB has done well. Another food stock in Sri-Lanka #nest broke Rs.600/ barrier today.
In short, food, agri based, travel and tourism based and hot beverage companies will do well.
Companies such as #HAYL, #SPEN also should benefit. There is a possibility that #SPEN will reach Rs.2000 barrier.
Keep an eye on groups rallies time to time.

[Updated] #CFLB Vs. #LCEY

#LCEY and #EBCR have more potential than CFLB.
#LCEY is the main revenue generator in the group.
EBCR owns 50% of LCEY and 50% of EBCR is in turn owned by CFLB....50% of LCEY profits will be consolidated to EBCR (only 30% of LCEY profits will get consolidated to CFLB).
also CFLB has 36 million outstanding shares so the 30% of LCEY profits+attributable COLO profits gets spread amongst 36 million shares to end up as the EPS. EBCR only has 2.3 million shares so 50% of LCEY profits gets spread amongst 2.3 million shares to end up as the EPS.
CFLB does have potential but on a relative basis LCEY and EBCR are more under valued than CFLB.

[Updated] Overvalued Market
reply from cse.see, 23 Apr 10

No. Not. Sri Lankan Market is not overvalued.
Yes. Some of Sectors (like Hotels) overvalued. (But with predictabale earnings in comming year).
Market will reach 4400 - 4500 level by end June'2010.
Possitive factors to Sri Lankan Market :
1. Central Bank of Sri Lanka has forecast a 6.5 % economic growth for the country in year 2010.
2. Stable government to adopt consistent economic policies in the country.
3. Expected boom in the Tourism sector in future. Tourist arrivals to the country has increased after the end of 30 year old civil war & already recorded a 50.3% growth so far for the year 2010. ( JAN - MARCH).
4. The Economic growth in future is expected to be well supported by the development activities in the Construction & the Agricultural sectors as well.
5. Sri Lanka Share Market (Colombo Stock Exchange) ranked No 01 in Asia & second best in the world in 2009. We are the best performing stock exchange in Asia so far for year 2010.
6. Announcement of the holding an Indian film festival in Sri Lanka will boost the hotels sector.
7. Expected positive earnings by the listed companies in future.
8. Can expect more foreign investment confidency about Sri Lanka.
This is time for Market correction. Fundamentally strong stocks moving day by day. Look Blue chip companies & Banks. #CTC, #HAYL, #COMB, #SAMP.
I personaly thinking all attractive shares, quickly will adjust with Current Market P/E. Market P/E is about 16 - 18 times. (With ASI 4000 level).
My prediction (next 06 months) Market will run as follows (few eg) :
By Apr'10 to Jun'10 Quarter
#SAMP to reach Rs.350/-
#HAYL to reach Rs.375/-
#COMB to reach Rs.320/-
#CTC to reach Rs.400/-
#HAYC to reach Rs.250/-
#LCEY to reach Rs.130/-
#KOTA to reach Rs.85/-
#DOCK to reach Rs.325/-
#RCL to reach Rs.160/-
By Jul'10 to Sep'10 Quarter
#JKH to reach Rs.250/-
#NDB to reach Rs.290/-
#DFCC to reach Rs.300/-
#KVAL to reach Rs.100/-
#DIPD to reach Rs.175/-
#HAYC to reach Rs.275/-
06 months earlier if you invest some money, now you hav a 100% return. most of stocks more than double now. Still, you all not late. As a short term investor (03 months) clearly you have a more than 30% return in CSE. (If you deposit your money in Bank (FD), after 01 year period you can earn only less than 8%).

One & half month earlier, I have several times mentioned that #LCEY to reach Rs.90/- level, #KOTA to reach Rs.65/- level and #HAYL to reach Rs.260/- level by end Apr'10.
Today all companies reach to this level. Hayleys has marked Rs.260/-. Lankem marked 89.75 last week. Kotagala pass 62/-.
Who followed my comments, now they have more than 20% return.
Still these shares undervalue in the market.
#LCEY will break Rs.120/- with in next 05 weeks.
#KOTA will reach Rs.80/- by mid May'10.
#HAYL will break Rs.320/- by mid of May'10.
We have to closly monitor #HAYC share. I think this will quickly start their next rally. It may be Clombo Dockyard . Possibilty to break Rs.220/- level again & pass to 260/- or more.

This what I said in December 2009
If you can see rubber prices are going to go up after May 2010 then current #KGAL price is attractive.
January 9th I said
Some of the stocks to watch during next two months are:
#DCOK
#CFIN
#LFIN
#BFL
#BALA
#MAL
#KGAL
#NDB
#DFCC
8th January
This is what pissa6666 said
Reply from pissa6666, 15 days ago for my another question.
Friends, thanks for very healthy discussion based on your research findings.
Basically, my intention of suggesting #BALA as an investment stock were:
1. Sound financials
2. Less gearing
3. Good short term investment / deposits which cushions short term crises
4. Prudent management
5. Investment / strategy to plough back for sustainable production capacity
6. Conservative dividend payment policy which ensures some return to the shareholder while ploughing back the profits
Traders will attach excessive importance on quarterly profits. For them, now to exit and re-enter after price effect based on 31 Dec.09 financials make perfect sense.
If we look at investment portfolio, given that the risks identified by you both are digestible(based on individual risk appetite), I would say #BALA is one of the best stocks for medium to long term value creation.
If tea industry should sink, #BALA will be among the last companies to sink, provided Govt. completely turns a blind eye.
What I feel is, we should not attach undue importance to a one off provision figure, created by the back dated wage agreement.
This is what I said.
Currently there is demand for #BFL in the Agri-business sector and #KGAL and #BALA in the plantation sector now
I will post my updated stocks to watch during next 12 weeks including range bound for some stocks.
We will have to rerate some stocks due to higher ROE, higher earning per share, lower debt level, strong demand for their products and attractive valuations during next 12 weeks. We will have to downgrade some over valued stocks and we can talk some stocks to sell once they become overpriced in the future.
Some of my recent posting:
Yes. It is interesting.
Main Interesting thing for me is;
State funds are going to invest in shares aggressively. It is a major move in capital market in Sri-Lanka. It will improve liquidity further.
I like to see what types of stocks they are going to invest in this time?
Ceybank unit trust (Government own Bank of Ceylon as one of the shareholders) so far have given attractive returns to unit holders. Their fund management is better than private sector in selecting some stocks. Even recently through their funds have bought valuable undervalued stocks in small and mid caps.
NSB also has good strategy in buying and selling shares.
Sri-Lanka Insurance also has some attractive stocks in their portfolios.
With recent policy decision retirement funds such as EPF, ETF can make big impact in the market.
Globally we can expect following during next 10 years;
Sector and subgroup oriented bull markets
Sideway markets
Volatility
Strong bull markets or Major up trends
Up and down markets periodically
Bear Markets
Panic situation and market crash
Those new to the markets:
I said in the current market those who have experience and knowledge will have edge over others.
Some stocks will have aggressive buying and selling time to time
We can not win all the times
Markets will not go up down continuously
There are different players in the market
Market is 100% not efficient.
Stock and commodity will not go to the zero except bankrupts one.
Some companies will disappear from the markets time to come.
Sometimes market will not listen to fundamentals and technicals
Technical analysts will tell you support levels. Once they break they are telling now we should take them as resistance levels. They are not also sure about the market trend. So they have introduced stop losses.
In the short term market is like weighing machine
Identifying General market conditions are better than other indicators
In panic situations players will sell some attractive value stocks as well.
Best investment strategy:
Always buy (invest) in undervalued stocks with great potential
Have a time horizon.
Try to identify some extremely bullish stocks with more than 10 baggers characteristics
We can not select all wining stocks. Once we find one attractive stock even we can cover losses of other stocks. We get these types of stocks once in life time.
Learn to identify stocks similar to #Wata, #Soy, #KVAL and #Nest in advance. Those types of stocks are good for any type of market situation.
We must be prepared to buy following stocks aggressively if prices come down during next 11 months? I don’t think it will come down to those levels.
#JKH below Rs.100/
#SPEN below Rs.300/
#SAMP below Rs.150
#HNB below Rs.100
#COMB below Rs.100

#RICH below Rs.40/-

In short all of the above companies mentioned by SajColombo are attractive when compare with market P/E ratio, due to earnings and future earnings, due to demand for their products etc.
One member mentioned about #LCEY when it was trading around Rs.40 last year somewhere in June. Now it has appreciated to Rs.65/-
We must establish there range bound as well before buying LCEY. It is better to buy in a lower range bound than a higher range bound.
For example I said lower range bound for GREG is Rs.100/-. It came down to that level last week. We may have to change their lower range again after studying action, pattern and movements during next seven weeks.

#KVAL is also a very good buy since it is very much explored to the rubber.
#BALA and #CFLB are good at current values, but as innam said LCEY is better place than CFLB since CFLB access major revenue streams though LCEY.

Hi Jana,
Can you guess which % of return from #CWM with in next couple of months....?
My suggestion is do not depend on Dr senthilvel or others.
Think fundamentaly & invest your money, with potential growth stocks.
If not good return, better to sell that rather than waiting for a long term.
Better to invest in #HAYL, #LCEY, #KOTA.
Hayleys trading in Rs.225/-. Lankem Rs.65/-. Kotagala Rs.45/-.
But, keep your eye on with this stocks. Posibility to Hayleys price go up to Rs.300/- or more in mid of June'10. Lankem will pass Rs.90/- in June'10. Kotagala can go to 65/- in June'10.
Think % of return.

My recomendation is #HAYL , #LCEY , #KOTA . These you will have 25% to 40% return with in next 03 months.
Other stocks DFCC, JKH, Royal Ceramics & Haycarb. But, return will less with compair to Hayleys, Lankem, Kotagala.

Most important factors:
Value and future earnings.
We can see gradual growth in following areas first.
Agri-Food sector
Transportation
Hotel and travel sector
I forgot to mention Plantation sector. They also will announce good results.
Then banking sector also will benefit.
In the long run, many sectors will benefit such as cement, ceramic, cable, production and distributing and trading etc.
Invest in fundamentally sound undervalued stocks now.

Hi Rohit,
you said #LCEY rise 45% and now you think there might be a correction. But I think a correction brought the LCEY to 65-70 level. Last quarter results were amazing for the LCEY (EPS = 12, NAV = 69) so a correction was happened. Also I think that with the high rubber prices of this quarter, LCEY will extend their EPS to 20-25 level. Therefore base is the 65 level. Also new subsidiaries (CWM, Sunagro) which going to be performed since 2010, will not only extend their revenue segments, but also they will add values to their current businesses.

I think we have to keep our eye with #LCEY & #HAYL & #HAYC.
There is a good possibility to make good profits in comming quarters for Lankem, Hayleys & Haycarb.
I think Lankem & Hayleys mostly undervalue in current market.
Lankem share to be trade more than Rs.100/- in these days. But, it was settled in Rs.65/- level. Last two weeks lots of traded Between 65/- to 72/- level.
If you review Hayleys, share is worth more than Rs.260/- level. Seems to be annualized EPS is 14 level. P/E Ratio is 20 times. Can be go up to 14 x 20 = Rs.280/- level.

Yes. I agree with you. This is the time to closely monitor & identify the strong stocks.
As example stocks such as #HALY and #LCEY are very strong with their future earnings. Actually Hayleys & Lankem are the most undervalue stocks in current market. These are hidden gems.
These days, all market players are running with bull stocks & not with market fundamentals. Little analysis as follows,
#HAYL (Hayleys PLC) :
Trading in Diversified Holding Sector.
Operating in Manufacturing Sector, Agri Sector, Plantation sector, Transportation sector, Leisure sector, Consumer & Industry inputs sector.....etc
Cash Flow from Operating Activities is very strong.
Debtors 50% of the Current Assets.
New Management.
Huge demand in Plantations, Leisure, Agri & Transportation Sectors.
Therefore, seems to be strong future.
09 months EPS 11.09.
Predictable Annualized EPS 14.78.
PER for last 04 quarters 20.9.
Then, Share price to be adjust with 14.78 X 20.9 = Rs.308/- level.
We can expect this share price adjustment with in next couple of months.
#LCEY (Lankem Ceylon) :
Trading in Chemical & Pharmaceutical sector. But, Lankem is seems to be part of Diversified company. Because of,
Operating in Chemical Sector, Consumer Sector, Hardware sector, Construction sector, Leisure(Hotel) sector, Plantation sector, Investment Sector.
Cash Flow from Operating Activities is very good.
Debtors 39% of the Current Assets.
Huge demand in Plantations, Leisure, Agri & Construction Sectors.
Expecting more income from Investing in #CWM.
Therefore, seems to be strong future.
09 months EPS 13.17.
Predictable Annualized EPS 17.56.
PER for last 04 quarters 10.2.
Then, Share price to be adjust with 17.56 x 10.2 = Rs.179/- level.
This price will be adjust quickly.

I think something is wrong in the Market P/E.
As eg: if You look stock such as #LCEY is most undervalue in the market. It is trading around Rs.65/-. But 09 months ended EPS is 13.17.
Accordingly P/E is 4.93.
According to the Fundamentals, #LCEY share to be trade more than Rs.100/-.

As I found from the AR's interview, acquisition of the #CWM will bring a bright future to #LCEY
* LCEY will enter to the food production and manufacturing sectors in a big way.
* CWM will be riched with the foods of the LCEY
* LCEY will be able to increase the demand for the fertilizer and chemicals through new agreement with farmers.
* CWM will manufactor more rubber related products.
* KOTA will be backed by CWM.
* LCEY will able to resolve the forign currency risk.
Hi all, actually I don't know the correct situation (how many of them are true or how many of them are mysteries and how many of them are impossible to achieve). But keep your eye on these news and don't wait until they are announced officially. Do research and let us also know. Otherwise it will be more expensive to catch #LCEY.

I have just now analyse the 09 months accounts of #LCEY. Their EPS 09 months 13.17. if annualize it 17.56. Lankem Ceylon last 04 quarters P/E Ratio is 8.8 times. Then Share Price is goes to 17.56 x 8.8 = Rs.154/- . I think this is a very good investment. #LCEY will quickly adjust the price with Fundamentals.
Current Price is Rs.65/-. This is very good to buy. I think here will be a 100% return. #LCEY will pass Rs.120/- to 150/- mark with in next couple of months. This is real Hidden gem in stock market.
These factors also to be consider.
#LCEY last quarter Profit is Rs.272 Mn. This is massive increse. Part of #CWM profit also will added in next quarter. Plantation sector also going well. Therefore, #LCEY Share price will quickly go up just like a rally happend to #HAYC in last 03 months.

this is what i posted 7 days ago-
LCEY posted strong results. 3 month EPS was 12.99 (last year's was 3.11) and 9 month EPS was 13.17 (last year's was 12.38). Both LCEY and RICH were helped by plantations performance. #RICH had a profit after a long time.
#LCEY is taking over #CWM so LCEY right now looks like a strong buy. Only downside risk is that it is exposed to plantations so their future outlook depends on the plantations continuing to do well.....
looking at how the price has moved from 50 to 66 since then it looks like LCEY will rally like HAYC did. There's a strong possibilty that LCEY will go past 100. Both plantations subsidiaries will have a good March quarter and CWM will get part consolidated to the group in the March quarter so the year end EPS will be more than 25.

These sectors have a long way to go.........
----------------------------------
Hotel & Travel - Tourism has a long way to go. Select few undervalued good hotels and invest, but it's a long term play. Cancellation of global travel advisories is vital for further BIG move...
Sri Lanka "the small miracle" has a story to tell the world.
------------------------------
Construction - CSE's C&E sector has few companies but there are so many construction related companies here.
#DOCK - not so attractive, they are solely engaged in shipping and engineering related businesses, but there's big downturn in this sector because global recession. If we want to make good return from #DOCK we have to wait for a long time until the end of global recession...After a long time #DOCK will give u a massive return. But there are many other picks which can give u returns earlier than #DOCK.
Cement
We have only 2 companies.
#LCEM. - if KKS factory begin, a huge boom can be expected.
#TKYO.N0000 - Now the war is finished. Huge infrastructure development in North East can be expected. Every construction, rehabilitation, development project needs Cement. It's a must for that industry. And also we must not forget that there a program in rural areas to concrete all the roads. It's going on very successful manner. All these projects are based on cement. Sri lanka's cement supply is very much less than the real demand now. And also we have very limited number of cement companies. #TKYO.N must be a good player in the market soon. It's still not performed in the market.
##TKYO.X (non voting) - still interesting with 2% dividend of share price.
Thanks Bandara you also remind me about it few days back. I bought, when it at 11.00. I think ur next pick #LITE will on the move soon!!!!!
Tiles - There's matter with global downturn, EXPORTS, but not yet performed.
Cables - A tremendous potential inside, #KCAB is far away now, it's gone. But the mother company #ACL which has a market share about 80% still not moved that far. Very very attractive at 48-49/=.
-------------------------------
Agriculture -
After the war this is the sector which stands like the Phoenix before any other.
"We should stick to the basics when investing."
#CIC - if you think for long term pick, this is the most suitable. No comparisons. #CIC is not yet performed on their full capacity according to me.
#LCEY - Lankem Ceylon - I posted about this before. "Thanks again, Chabitha" it's a very attractive pick at current price levels 38-40/=.
"BUY" at once, just after the selling pressure going now.
Dairy - #LAMB - not yet performed well. Huge potential inside. Share value must be around 22/= . But trading price is around 13/=
Nestle
Poultry - #BFL, #TAFL, #GRAN, #CIC
--------------------------
Trading - A major boom with A9 road free transportation of goods.
#BRWN - Still attractive
#TESS - very attractive at current price levels. 0.90-1.00, few days back GOV lifted the ban on fishing. And tess is engaged in agriculture too. A very good company to invest. Huge potential to grow in medium and long term.
Good Hunting!

You may find Reports of #LCEY by surfing. No doubt the company is very attractive at current price levels (40) , I carefully investigated past transactions of #LCEY and found the reason for not performing the counter , which is continuous selling in the counter probably by a major shareholder and may have to wait a little until selling pressure gets wiped out.
